Eucharistic Adoration at St. Anne’s is held inside the Church. As a form of respect, you should always genuflect when you see the Lord in the Host. Maintain an attitude of respect, and if others are present, silence. Kneeling, sitting or standing before the Blessed Sacrament are all appropriate forms of prayer. This is your time with Christ! Oftentimes people ask what they can do during this special time with Christ......it's your choice! Some ideas are:
Read Scripture
Pray the Rosary
Pray the Stations of the Cross
Use the time for spiritual reading
Have a conversation with God....tell him about your day, express your gratitude for the blessings in your life, share with Him your worries & concerns
Pray a Litany of Trust or any other litany
Just be - you can just sit in His presence
The opportunities for prayer are truly endless! This is your intimate time with Christ; if you feel uncertain what to do, ask Him! God bless you for choosing to spend time with the Lord!
The first Thursday of each month beginning after the 9am Mass and ending with the Benediction before the 9am Mass on Friday morning.
How do you sign-up? Sign-up is very important but not necessary, you can come to church at any time for however long you wish. Someone needs to be in the presence of Christ for all 24 hours, NO exceptions. You cannot leave the church until the next adorer arrives. A sign-up link is sent by e-mail to all interested adorers several days before Adoration with one hour slots. Sign-up sheets are also located in the Beaudette Center the week prior to Adoration. If questions or to add your name to St. Anne’s e-mail list for Eucharistic Adoration, please contact Michelle Schaefer 715-497-8885 (call or text).
We must understand that in order ‘to do’, we must first learn ‘to be’, that is to say, in the sweet company of Jesus in Adoration. - St. John Paul II
